For gentyl mercy owith to passyn ryght
Than seyde he þus to palamoū ful rygh
I trowe þere nedyth lytil sarmonynge
To make ȝow assente to the thynge
Come ner & tak ȝoure lady bi the hond

By tweþȳ hē was mad anon the bond
That hyghte matrymonye or mariage
By al the cuntre & the baroūnage
And þus wt al blys & melody
Hath palamoū I wedded emely

And god þt al þis wyde word hath wrought
Synde hȳ his loue þt hath it dere abought
For now is Palamoū in alle wele
Leuynge in blysse in richesse & in hele
And Emelye hym louyth so tenderely

And he here seruyth so gentylly
That neuere was þere no word hem be twen
Of Ielousye or ony oþer \teene/
Thus endyth Palamoū & Emelye
And god saue al this Fuyre cūpaynye
