And in hir swoun so sadly haldeth she
Hir children two wan she gan hem embrace
That wyth gret sleght and gret difficultee
The children from hir arme thei gan arace
O many a teer and many a pitous face

Doun ran of hem that stonden hir biside
Vnneth abouten hir myght thei abyde
Wauter hir gladeth and hir sorwe slaketh
She ryseth vp abaisid from hir traunce
And euery wyght hir ioy and fest maketh

Til she hath caught ayen hir contenance
Wauter hir doth so feithful plesaunce
That it was deynte for to se the chere
Betwix hem two now thei ben met in fere
This ladyes whan that thei hir tyme say

Han taken hir and in to chambre gon
And strepen hir out of hir rude array
And in a cloth of gold that bryght shon
Wyth a corone of many a riche stoon
Vpon hir hed thei in to halle hir broght

And there she was honured as she ought
Thus hath this pitous day a blisful ende
For euery man and womman doth his myght
This day in murthe and reuel to dispende
Til on the welkyn shon the sterres bryght

For more solempne in euery mannes syght
This fest was and gretter of costage
Than was the reuel of hir mariage.
Ful many a yeer in hie prosperite
Lyuen this two in concord and in reste
