Welcome to The Dd Manuscript, part of The Norman Blake Editions of The Canterbury Tales.

The Dd Manuscript is a digital edition of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales as witnessed in the manuscript Cambridge University Library MS Dd.4.24. The edition enables you to do the following:

Browse, search and view fulltext, diplomatic transcriptions of the complete manuscript.
View colour images of the original manuscript, as permitted by Cambridge University Library
View the fulltext transcriptions and the images side by side.
Explore a wealth of background information, written by the editor, whose chapters cover codicology, palaeography, language and provenance.

The Dd Manuscript is developed by the Digital Humanities Institute at The University of Sheffield in collaboration with Orietta Da Rold.

Copies of the transcriptions can be downloaded and re-used for free under a non-commercial licence via the DHI Data Service.
